Felt

Felt is an incredible and magical medium to translate creativity, dream and love.

Wet felting is a long and beautiful process: starts from shearing (sheep, alpaca, rabbit etc.), then sorting and cleaning the fleece, carding, arranging the fibre on a reed mat, sprinkling it with hot water and soap, patting down. Now, lots of rolling to follow…The reed mat is rolled up tight, tied up, and rolled and rolled and rolled by applying pressure with your forearms, feet or by dragging it with a rope.

Here is a great read and a good bunch of information of THE EARLY HISTORY OF FELT – Wiley Online Library, PDF
